NRI Wins Dirham 10 Million Lottery In Abu Dhabi

Dubai:
Sunil Mappatta Krishnan Kutty Nair, an expatriate from in Abu Dhabi, won the second highest ever lottery amount of Dirham 10 Million or Rs 17.5 crores. The raffle tickets costed Dirham 500 per participant and many people pitch in to share the cost and split the amount won.

Sunil shared this with 3 of his friends, so the prize money gets distributed among the 4. A colleague stated that they all had contributed to the cost of ticket so they all would be dividing the money accordingly.

Earlier in the year, on Jan 7th another NRI Harikrishnan V Nair won 12 million Dirhams, who also belongs to Kerala based out of Ajmal.

Sunil hit the jackpot this morning in the latest Big Draw, and this award money is the second highest until now, for this year. Sunil is a sales executive and his other friends who contributed to the prize money include Dipindas, Abhilash, Sainudheen and Shamshudheen. A report quoted, “The winning numbers from today’s “The Big Ten Series 188” raffle at the arrivals hall in Abu Dhabi International Airport are 016299”

This lucky draw was picked by last month’s winner Harikrishnan. But Sunil is currently traveling to India so he was not present for comment. There were 9 others who also won between Dh 10k and Dh 100k.
