Congress party’s Vice President Rahul Gandhi has delivered a speech at University of California in Berkeley. He began his speech with addressing the students and then paid his homage to all those who lost there lives at WTC terrorist attack on September 9,2011.
He said that its time time stop to stop singling about him for acquiring his job on the basis of his DNA. “Most of the country runs this way, that’s how India works”.
Mr. Gandhi even quoted an example for his this statement listing a series of Prominent Indians born into famous families, "Dynastic politics is a problem in all political parties. Akhilesh (Yadav son of Mulayam Singh Yadav of the Samajwadi Party), (MK) Stalin (son of M Karunanidhi in DMK), Abhishek Bachchan (son of Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan) -- are all examples of dynastic legacy, also (Mukesh and Anil) Ambani (son of Dhirubhai Ambani), that's how the entire country is running”, "Don't go just after me".
Rahul Gandhi is expected to take over as president of congress by this October which is currently held by his mother Sonia Gandhi. Talking about P.M Modi he said that I’m an opposition leader but still Mr.Modi is my Prime Minister too, he is a very good communicator probably better than me.
Rahul Gandhi said “Being a reluctant politician is perspective from 1,000 BJP followers sitting on machines only spreading rumors about me". Rahul Gandhi is often referred as Political dilettante by critics.
Union Minister Smriti Irani takes on Rahul Gandhi about his speech in US by calling him as a “failed dynast”, who choose to spoke about his failed political journey at an international institution.
She also said its appalling to hear him say Dynast runs everything in India, he seems to have forgotten that in independent India, there are many citizens who have contributed in different walks of life, but they don’t have any political legacy.
She even said that in last national elections when PM Modi and BJP won a historic mandate, congress suffered its biggest defeat and this showed that India is not dynastic in nature”.
