Indian crew set to experience Mars

After India’s space research organization made history with the Mars Orbiter Mission “Mangalyaan” in 2014, now the Indian crew is ready to embark on a simulated Martian environment. Where the participants will experience the challenges of a manned mission to the red planet.

It is the first time when, an all Indian crew will take part in a 14 days Mars related research assignment from January 28 and February 12 2017, at the Mars Desert Research Station located in Utah, U.S.A.

The following assignment was confirmed by a Mars Society’s chief spokesperson, Michael Stoltz.

The Mars Desert Research Station was launched in the year 2001 by the US based Mars Society. Since its launch more than 1,000 youngsters have participated in the program from all over the world.
