Pakistan Defence Minister warns India against giving asylum to Baloch leader Bugti!

Pakistan warned India over granting asylum to Baloch leader Brahamdagh Bugti, citing it will become an “official sponsor of terrorism” if it provide asylum to Bugti.

Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Asif tweeted, that, “India granting asylum to Bugti will amount to harbouring a terrorist by a state, thus (India) becoming official sponsor of terrorism.”

The Home Ministry received Bugti’s application seeking political asylum in India and it is examining by the department. Mr. Asif’s comments came after the application received by the Home Ministry.

Earlier, Azizullah Bugti, a spokesperson of the BRP, said that, “Baloch Republican Party’s Central Committee has ratified Mr. Bugti’s decision. At the moment, we are concerned about the safety of the President of the party and that is why the decision for political asylum was cleared.”

On the Uri terrorist attack, Mr. Bugti said on a social network site, that, “We condemn the Uri attack in the strongest possible terms. It is yet another example of Pakistan’s role as a terrorism exporting country”.

Mr. Bugti has been living in Switzerland, he approached the Indian Embassy in Geneva seeking asylum in India and exuded confidence of a positive response from New Delhi.

Mr. Bugti, the President and founder of Baloch Republican Party, decision of seeking asylum was taken at a meeting of the Baloch Republican Party in Geneva.

He is the grandson of Nawab Akbar Bugti, a Baloch nationalist leader killed by the Pakistani army in 2006.
