India’s Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon have signed several agreements in the field of culture and human resource development.

Modi held restricted and delegation level talks with President Rahmon at the Qasr-e-Millat. As per the agreement, India is to set up computer labs in 37 schools in Tajikistan.

External Affairs Ministry spokesperson Vikas Swarup tweeted that, "After delegation-level talks, agreements were signed between India and Tajikistan in the field of culture and HRD.”

The Prime Minister made a strong pitch for taking India's ties with Tajikistan to newer heights in diverse areas.

"I seek to take India's ties with Tajikistan to newer heights through this visit & expand the scale of cooperation," Modi tweeted.
