An alleged rapist dragged out of jail, where he was put remanded, and beaten to death by a mob of more than 1500 people.

The shocking incident has take place in the Dimapur district in Nagaland, according to the ‘news minute report’, the suspected illegal immigrant from Bangladesh – who runs a business with second hand vehicles was arrested after the survivor’s complaint of multiple time assaults on second hand vehicles in different locations.

After knowing the incident, a protest rally had been organised at the clock tower in the district headquarters on Thursday, as the police had given permission for a peaceful rally to be held. But around 4 pm, a mob marched and broke into a jail in Dimapur district, where police officials reportedly used batons and tear gas, but were unable to control the crowd.

The mob pulled him out the jail and paraded him naked on roads. The accused was beaten by the hundreds of Naga people who marched there, later the alleged rapist died of injuries. The police and the concerned authorities have been inquiring over the issue. The CM of state too condemned the incident and ordered an inquiry.
