Rebels killed two policemen in ChhattisgarhTop Stories

The rebel's, Maoists killed security officer in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh state, 250km (155 miles) from the state capital Raipur. The moist surrounded the policemen and attacked in the forest.

The Maoist says they are fighting for the communist rule and greater rights for tribal people and rural people.BBC reported

They are speared in several parts around 600 districts in India and controlling several "red corridor from the northeast to the central part of India.

Senior police officer told to Press Trust of India that the security forces were engaged in a two-hour-long gun battle following the ambush on Monday evening.

The dead include one local police officer and one constable, in this two villagers, were also injured in the fighting, he said. Immediately they were airlifted to Raipur for treatment.

This incident happen while the police went for searching the rebels in the villages they were ambushed, police said. The rebels went into the forest after the attack.

Chhattisgarh often hit by the rebels, 29 Policemen were killed in the attack by the rebels twice in the month of March and December last year.

The rebels attacked the convoy of the Congress leader and party workers in Sukuma district of Chhattisgarh.
