Markandey Katju, the former Press Council chairman is in news again after he tweeted that Shazia Ilmi was much more beautiful than Kiran Bedi, and if Shazia was made CM candidate BJP would win the Delhi elections. He interestingly said that people would love to vote beautiful faces as in Croatia and the persons like him, who generally do not vote also prefer Shazia.

After his comparison on the beauty of Kiran Bedi and Shazia Ilmi, media and women groups criticized him a lot. Markandey Katju than tweeted, that his comments should be considered only for humor as they are lighter vein. He also supported his version in his blog (justicekatju.blogspot.in) over his comments on the beauty of Shazia Ilmi as “Can't an old man like me admire a beautiful woman? By admiring a beautiful flower I am not plucking it, and by admiring a beautiful garden from a distance I am not trespassing onto it. Similarly, if I admire a beautiful woman I am not misbehaving with her, or taking liberties with her.”

Markandey Katju, was in news with his controversial remarks on media, Narendra Modi and others. However his comments are hotbuzz in media and in Delhi.
