More than 10,000 villagers had left homes because of Pakistan's ceasefire violations in the Indo - Pak border. Pakistan troops are jerking at the border areas with mortar firings and shelling. US also expressed over the uncertainty between India and Pakistan.

In the firings many villagers are suffered injuries and their dwellings got destroyed. People are fleeing to safer places to save their lives. Indian forces are well equipped to retaliate but the government is looking for no-harm outcome. However the statements of Defense Minister Manohar parikkar clearly indicating the possible counter attacks by Indian Army.

In Kathua and Samba districts Pakistan forces continued the firings on BSF check posts on Monday night. Pakistani army force repeatedly firing on 15 BSF posts in Hiranagar, Katua, and Samba. BSF Director General DK Pathak will visit the International border to assess the situation.

One Military jawan, who was wounded later dead. One woman also suffered death in firings, ten other civilians injured in the firings. Schools and Colleges were closed indefinitely till the peace is resumed. Ongoing XI class examinations also put-off.

An Emergency response Centre at established at Hiranagar to address the situation, and issued high-alert in the wake of heavy shelling.

US expressed concern over the India – Pakistan’s present situation and suggested for peace talks for resuming healthy relation between each other. In a statement State Department spokes person Jen Psaki, said that they remain concerned and watch over the tension along the border, and they encourage dialogue between the countries.
