Writer Shobhaa De's attempt to twist and use BJP election campaign song 'ache din aane wale hai' while condoling the untimely death of Union Rural Development minister Gopinath Munde drew severe criticism from Twitterati. Shobhaa De's Twitter condolence message for the deceased BJP leader left people enraged and baffled.

DE, a popular columnist and novelist, played with 'ache din... ' and wrote 'Burrey din aa gaye for the family'. Her atempt to twist words enraged Twitterati and attracted severe flak.

On Tuesday morning Shobhaa De tweeted: "Shocking news about Munde's death. How tragic. R.I.P. Burrey din aa gaye for the family. Deepest condolences."

What baffled people was that the insensitive tweet had come from Shobhaa De, a person who champions sensitive part of the society.

De picked up the slogan slogan "Acche din aane waale hain (good days will be here soon)", twisted it a bit and made it "burrey din aa gaye (bad days are here)". The tasteless Hindi line drew severe flak and people tweeted their disapproval, calling Shobhaa De's tweet shameful.

One polite Twitter responses from @ScorpiusMaximus said: "What kind of condolence message is that now (sic), seriously sick @DeShobhaa."

Another Twitter post from user @saurabhsuman88 said: "Is this how you provide condolences... didn't expect it from a supposed intellectual like you #Terrible."

Realising her folly, De later tweeted: "My deepest condolences to Munde family in their hour of grief. No offence was ever intended. Apologies for inadvertently hurting sentiments."

De is not new to controversies, but the latest foul up comes as a shocker to everybody.
