BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi visited the Vaishno Devi shrine in Jammu to seek the blessings of the divine goddess before embarking on the 185 "Bharat Vijay Rallies".

Modi posted a picture of himself on a white horse on his way to the holy shrine in Twitter this morning. Narendra Modi's Twitter post had the message "Jai Mata Di! On way to Vaishno Devi from Sanjichhat"

The Gujarat Chief Minister will address a rally in Hiranagar town, Kathua district. The place is close to the Indo-Pak border by a few kilometres.

Hiranagar will be NaMo's first rally, out of the 185 "Bharat Vijay Rallies" that he will address in the entire country.

Modi's rally in Hiranagar is scheduled for 11.30 am. Heavy security has been put in place around the Hockey Stadium, the venue of the rally, by the Jammu and Kashmir police.

Modi is campaigning for BJP candidate Jitender Singh at Hira Nagar, which comes under Udhampur parliamentary seat. Jitender Singh is contesting against senior Congress leader and Union minister Ghulam Nabi Azad. This is the first time that Azad will be contesting the general elections.
