The marriage of American social worker Erin White and her Indian auto driver husband Bunty Sharma in September last year was like a Bollywood movie. It's end was also similar to a masala movie typical of Bollywood - Bunty Sharma alias Ashok stabbed White alias Kiran Sharma and then went on to end his life by blowing himself up.

On Thursday evening White was killed by her husband Bunty, the Agra auto driver she fell in love and married. He stabbed her in the same auto that he drove and threw out the body, which was recovered by police around 8pm.

After the murder of his 35-year-old wife, Bunty returned to his Sanjay Nagar home, shut himself in a room, opened a gas cylinder valve and committed suicide by blowing himself up. Police has visited the two spots with its dog squad.

The couple had met in Agra when Erin came to Agra with a group of Americans. They had married on the rooftop of a hotel in Agra, with the Taj Mahal in the backdrop.

For the past few months Erin and Bunty were going through marital problems and had even sought professional help, according to police report. Erin accused Bunty of infidelity, cruelty, greed and not revealing to her that he was already married. While Bunty's complain was that Erin had lied to him regarding her marital status.

The American embassy in Delhi as well as the Union home ministry have been informed of the incident.
