India’s ace Tennis player Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis have entered the women’s doubles semifnals of the Miami Open in Miami. The pair who began winning together last month with the Paribas Open title, have successfully defeated the Rodionova sisters, Anastasia and Arina, with 6-3 6-4 in the quarterfinal clash.
Being top seed pair, they have easily stepped into next phase in the Miami open. So far Hingis won 11 Grand Slams in the team discipline (nine in women’s and two in mixed) while Sania has claimed three Grand Slams (all in mixed).
They will have to face the seventh-seeded Hungary-French combine of Timea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic in the last-four clash.
