The "Black Pearl" of the soccer world, Pele, has launched a striking line of 1,283 diamonds. But mind you, these aren't ordinary rocks, but those made using strands of the legend's own hair. Whoa!

The best soccer player of all times unveiled the ultimate "superfan souvenir" in Sao Paulo, ahead of the Brazil World Cup that will kick off in another two months time.

The limited edition diamonds (one for each goal), made using a high-pressure and high-temperature, incorporate charred remains of Pele's hair.

A single rock would cost you $7,500 and comes in a gold-plated box featuring Pele in his famous goal-striking pose.

The 73-year-old sportsman, speaking on the occasion, got candid on his thoughts on Ballon d'Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo and Argentina's Lionel Messi.

"From our point of view on football, Messi is the more complete one. He creates (opportunities) and scores goals. Cristiano is (like) our (late) Vava, our Ronaldo. He is a Dada Maravilha," he said.
