Uruguayan footballer Luis Suarez must be cursing himself for biting Italian footballer Giorgio Chiellini during a World Cup match. FIFA has rejected Luis Suarez's appeal against bite ban.

Suarez had appealed before FIFA against the four-month ban, imposed on him, from all football matches for biting Giorgio Chiellini. Recently FIFA stated that Suarez's appeal against the ban has been rejected.

The appeals committee of FIFA rejected the appeal made by Suarez and the Uruguay football federation.

However, the Uruguayan footballer can appeal before the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Luis Suarez bit the shoulder of Giorgio Chiellini during a group-stage game between Uruguay and Italy in Brazil. His team had a 1-0 win over Italy during that match.

Suarez, who plays as forward for Uruguay and Liverpool, was imposed with four months ban from all football and fined 100,000 Swiss francs ($112,000).

This is the third time that the Uruguayan footballer has been banned for biting an opponent. Earlier he bit his opponents in matches played at Ajax during the Dutch league, and Liverpool while playing the English Premier League.
