World Cup 2023: India Continues Success Streak

Team India is unstoppable in the ICC World Cup 2023 and the team reported its sixth victory in a row in the league matches and is on the top of the points table in the World Cup. In an interesting battle with England, the defending champion, the match took place yesterday in Ekana Sports City, Lucknow. England won the toss and elected to bowl first. Team India lost early wickets but it was Rohit Sharma (87) who played the captain innings and brought a decent total for Team India. Suryakumar Yadav (49) and KL Rahul (39) are the other top scorers for the team and India scored 229 for the loss of 9 wickets in their 50 overs.

David Willey (3/45), Chris Woakes (2/33) and Adil Rashid (2/35) are the wicket-takers for the England. Chasing an easy target of 230, England batsmen tumbled down and they could not stand before the Indian bowlers. Team India won by 100 runs after England went all out for 129 in just 34.5 overs. Liam Livingstone (27), Dawid Malan (16) and David Willey (16 not out) are the top scorers for the side. Mohammed Shami (4/22), Jasprit Bumrah (3/32) and Kuldeep Yadav (2/24) are the wicket-takers among the Indian bowlers. This is the sixth consecutive victory for Team India in the World Cup 2023. Rohit Sharma has been named as the Player of the Match.
