Ishant Sharma is out of India's Cricket World Cup team, thus putting an end to endless speculations regarding his chances of playing in the quadrennial tournament.

According to reports, the injured pace bowler didn't bowl during Saturday's net session in Adelaide, and he is likely to be replaced by Mohit Sharma in the final 15 squad.

“We have officially written to the ICC asking for a replacement. Now, it’s up to them to decide,” the report qouted a BCCI official confirming the new development.

However, Rohit Sharma, Ravindra Jadeja and Bhuvneshwar Kumar did just enough to satisfy the team management for another round of fitness test.

Earlier, the BCCI revealed that, "There will be a two-part fitness test of these four players. They will undergo a fitness test on February 7 and those who pass the test will then be examined in match situation against Australia the very next day. After that the team management will take a call.”
