The day and night match between England and India at Woolloongabba, Brisbane, turned beautifully towards England by Steven Finn and James Anderson bowling and Dhoni’s decisions paid in humiliating defeat.  Captain’s decision to bat first faced severe question mark faces. India were bowled out for 153 with the poorest batting from Shikar Dhawan, Virat Kohli and Suresh Raina.

Stuart Binny, Ambati Rayudu, Ajinkya Rahane and Dhoni had played good but not completely coordinated with the batsmen at other end. Interestingly Stuart Binny had managed a perfect batting style of the situation.

Even though Moeen Ali went cheaply, Ian Bell and James Taylor ensured that England did not back fall in the run-chase. Both batsmen got to their fifties and were built a 131-run stand. Bell was superb in his stroke play and this knock should give him confidence after getting out for a first ball duck against Australia.

Skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni put the blame on his batsmen for their nine-wicket loss in their second ODI of the cricket tri-series here. He added that last batsmen had not played well.

With this defeat India is last in the points list. Australia is on the top with 9 points and England with 5 from today’s victory and a bonus point stood at second.

Steven Finn is the Man of the Match for his career best figures of 5/33.
