Your baby is 1, and it's time to party! First birthdays are something to celebrate, and your baby deserves the best. The birthday baby may not remember, but moms and dads will remember their little one's big day for years to come. But make sure your baby enjoys and is at ease throughout the birthday party.

Keep it short

Pan the party in such a way that it gets over in an hour or two. Babies generally have short attention spans and easily run out of interest and energy. Plan the party late morning or late afternoon particularly before or after nap. This will ensure that your baby is not tired.

Make a baby-proof play place filled with age-appropriate toys. Set chairs around the zone for parents and elders to watch. Babies love balloons and colorful ribbons. Use them to decorate your surroundings.
