So you have the first date with this special someone you really like. Since you want a long term relationship with this person you must be in dilemma. What to wear – casual or formal? What to talk? What to eat? The confusions must be endless. Don't fret. Here are some tips you can follow for your first date.

What to wear

Your appearance is important so the first question in your mind is what to wear. Whatever you decide make sure it's comfortable. Also stay away from a new dress or new shoes. The new dress may look wonderful, but it's yet to be tried. For all you know the skirt might fly up as you take a walk or the new pair of shoes may give you blisters and your face will have a painful scowl. The problems seem small, but you certainly don't want to deal with them while trying to impress your date.

Be yourself

Be as natural as possible with your appearance or attire. If mascara and lip balm are the only makeup you wear on normal days then don't meet your date in full makeup at the first date as it can be misleading. Imagine having to wear makeup for many more dates if it works. Will you wear makeup everyday till you can reveal your normal self or adopt makeup as part of your lifestyle. The first date is the complete package you are, at least in appearance, so do things that you normally do and feel comfortable in.

Right attitude

Display the right attitude to avoid awkward moments at your first date. In case you wear a T-shirt endorsing a particular band, ensure that you have sufficient knowledge to talk on the topic in case a conversation starts. Think again about wearing a head scarf as it requires constant readjusting. Your date may get the idea that you have a headache and may feel uncomfortable about keeping you from going home.

Don't text unnecessarily

The first date is involves knowing one another. If you text too much before the actual date then the element of surprise will be lost. Also your date may develop high expectation from the text messages, and may be responsible for the date not working into a relationship.
