Money habits play an important role in a happy relationship. Believe it or not, many couples have endless fights over how much money is to be saved and what can be spend on present lifestyle. Here are some tips on money habits that you can adopt for a healthy relationship.

How much to spend on shopping

Couples often differ over spending money vs saving. While one partner may feel saving for the future is very important and gets irritated over the unnecessary shopping of the partner. But the other partner may not feel the need to save as they live in the present and can't bother about the future. Such a couple should sit down to discuss their budget and work out a middle path where both the partners are satisfied.

List your goals as a couple

As a couple the future goals have to be arrived together. It can't be planned by one partner and imposed on the other. Determining common goals will give a better perspective to both the partners as to how much can be spent and what amount has to be saved for the future. Get your partner's perspective before you decide to buy a new house or a car, it will work better.

Plan out your finance

Make a budget together every month when you get your salary. If both partners are working than one can pay the bills and save partly, while the other partner can save partly and spend some on shopping. That way, as a couple, both of you will be meeting your expectations.
