Your skin reflects your lifestyle. Studies have found that people with glowing skin had a healthy lifestyle, which included a balanced diet and regular exercise. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables helps to maintain your healthy skin.

But if you neglet your health and follow an erratic lifestyle then you are likely to face premature skin aging. Here are a few tips prevent premature skin aging.

Get adequate sleep

Sleep deprieved people look older than their age. It's the single most important cause of premature skin aging. Try to get at least seven to eight hours of night sleep to help cellular regenaration. Lack of sleep leads to dark circles and sallow skin.

Sugar

Excess intake of sugar not only adds to your weight but also leads to skin ageing. Too much sugar consumption increases the blood sugar level in your body, resulting into premature skin aging. High blood sugar starts the process of glycation in the body that affects collagen and elastin in your skin, leading to wrinkles.

Alcohol

If you consume excess alcohol it will be harmful for the skin. Alcohol causes dehydration and also reduces the body's salt content, which is bad news for the skin.

Exercising too much

Some exercises, like running, should not be done in excess as it leads to sagging skin. Excessive running causes breakdown of skin collagen that boost skin aging.

Healthy skin requires you to adopt a daily beauty regimen including cleansing, toning and moisturisation. During dry weathers keep your skin hydrated using a suitable moisturiser. Also drink water to flush out toxins and to keep your skin hydrated.
