Makeup allergies are quite common after the busy festive season, when we attend parties almost every night. Stay calm, the sudden flare-ups and allergies on your face can be taken care of. According to dermatologist Dr Apratim Goel, people with acne-prone skins, very dry and thin skin and rosacea are more likely to suffer from make-up allergies. Follow these simple tips and your skin will be bright and glowing like before.

Amrin Mukhi, a makeup expert suggests application of ice to cool the skin and to stay away from makeup for some time. Use a calamine lotion to soothe your skin, Mukhi says. Another suggestion that Mukhi offers is to avoid sharing of cosmetics. Lip products as well as compact powder and puff are more likely to cause skin allergies when shared, she says. Use a Q-tip, if you want to try somthing, added the makeup expert.

Another important tip to be followed is to buy cosmetics that are genuine. Adultered cosmetics contain harmful chemicals that are the root cause of make-up allergies.
