In a hit and run crash at Rockledge in Florida, a teen was dragged by a car down the street. The victim is yet not identified, but he was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries. The Deputies from Brevard County Sheriff’s Office are working on the case and yet not able to establish the identity of the suspect.

The investigation is in progress regarding the identity and cause that led the suspect to hit the teen and flee away from the scene. The accident occurred on Slayton Avenue near Lakemoor BLVD last evening. People from the surrounding neighborhood saw the victim run away after badly hurting the teenager. The teen was rescued in a dramatic operation after a helicopter lifted him to a hospital, which left the entire area worried.

“All we can do is pray to make sure he's going to be all right," neighbor Matt Van Sickle said. "It was pretty terrifying, being this is a quiet area, you know?"

The teen was believed to be standing outside a stopped car when suddenly people saw him being dragged and then hit by the same car. Within minutes he was standing and then he was suddenly gone, leaving everyone stunned. The witnesses who saw the entire incident stated within moments every thing was different and gone.

There was a Gold Nissan and with the victim several other people were seen in the car when it hit the victim and dragged him down the street. Investigation is underway regarding the identity and cause which led to the hit and run case.

The driver fled the scene after hurting the teenager and leaving him lying on the road. Thats when the neighbors came in and tried to help the victim.

"He just had blood all over his head. His hands were cut up. The tire mark was all over his leg. It was pretty serious," Van Sickle said. "We didn't know if he was going to be alive, if he was going to make it or not. We were trying to be there to help him. So hopefully everything turns out good for him, you know?"

Brevard County Sherrif’s office is looking for more clues to investigate the case further. Anyone with more information is asked to contact the Brevard County Sherrif’s Deputies. Stay tuned for information as the case progresses.
