Indian passport holders, with a valid American visa or a Green Card will be eligible to get a United Arab Emirates visa on arrival at all ports of the country from May 1st.

The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Monday that it circulated a letter to all authorities to grant Indians with valid American visa or Green Card to get United Arab Emirates visa on arrival following a Cabinet decision last month.

The Chairman of Department of Civil Aviation in Sharjah, Shaik Khaled Bin Essam Al Qassimi told that the circular was followed instructions from the Ministry of Foreign affairs.

The circular was given to all the UAE border points, including airports and ports.

Officials at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai confirmed said they will start implementing the order on May 1.

The visa on arrival will be valid for two weeks, extendable for a similar period one time only. The validity of the passport must be not less than 6 months and the fee for an entry permit will be Dhiram 100.

The fee for one time extension of the entry permit will be Dhiram 250.
