If you thought a drone or some plane was caught then you are wrong!

A white pigeon which is believed to have cross the border has been taken into grab of Punjab police officials. The intelligence agents and the Punjab Police have become vigilant with the capture of the pigeon from Pathankot village in Punjab on Thursday. This comes two days after an Intelligence Bureau (IB) alert to Punjab Police on the possiblility of Indian Mujahideen being active in Jammu and Pathankot areas, according to the Times of India.

The bird had ‘Shakargarh’ and ‘Narowal’ written on its body along with some other text in Urdu.

“We have intimated the BSF and other agencies in this regard. We are investigating the matter and teams have been sent to different places to check any suspicious movement. But no case has yet been registered in this regard,” said Pathankot’s Rakesh Kumar Kaushal.

The bird had been taken to Pathankot veterinary doctor to verify if any chip was inserted in its body.

This is the second time that India has come across Pakistani ‘spy pigeon’.
