What have you promised to the Almighty for fulfilling your wish? Not a clock for sure. A temple in India has a weird practice of devotees offering clock as thanksgiving.

The particular temple in a village near Jaunpur, in Uttar Pradesh has hundreds of clock hanging from its structure.

The temple looks like a fantasy-land, but the time pieces are actually offerings from devotees after their wishesh were granted by the temple deity.

Villagers who flock to Brahma Baba's temple offer clocks as an offering. The temple attracts people from all faith- Hindus, Muslims, Christians and Sikhs.

The devotees visit the small temple with their wishes and when the deity obliges they offer clocks as thanksgiving. The unique ritual in this temple has been followed for the last 30 years.

Devotees have form belief in the this temple. One devotee says that no one who ever visited this small temple with a wish ever went back empty-handed. Once the wish gets fulfilled devotees offer watch and other things to the temple God.

According to local people, the ritual started long time back when a man had come to the temple seeking blessing from the deity to become a driver. He had asked God to help him by giving him the skills to learn driving. After learning to drive, he came back to the temple and offered a clock as a token of thanks. Ever since then people have been offering clocks at the Brahma Baba temple.

The villagers say that the clocks lie unguarded on a tree, but no one has ever attempted to steal them, inspite of the place having no boundary or security. The temple is taken care by the villagers and there is no priest or trust in place.
