Have you ever thought of eating dog treats? Most of you would be taken aback by this question. Isn't it weird? But an aide at a Pennsylvania school district thought nothing was wrong with feeding pet snacks to kids.

The aide tricked 75 fourth grade students at New Hanover-Upper Frederick Elementary School to eat pet food by saying they were cookies. All the unsuspecting kids ate them during recess.

The aide first told that they were dog treats and later she told them they were cookies. A student named Gabriel Moore actually ate three of them.

However, none of the kids were reported sick after eating the treat.

Parents of all the fourth graders were informed about the incident the next day. The type of pet treat their child ate was not disclosed. However, parents were informed that the ingredients would have harmful effect only on people who have certain food allergies.

One parent was really offended and said that the part-time aide should be 'penalized pretty bad.

As of now the aide has been suspended. Meanwhile, an internal investigation is on.
