After five long years of wait and preparation, actor Jamie Foxx is all set to play his dream role of legendary boxer Mike Tyson on screen. That's right!

The "Django Unchained" star has been apparently wanting to do a biopic on Tyson for long. And after years of discourse and contemplation, the venture is likely to be up and rolling by the end of 2015.

Tentatively titled as “Champion”, the film will include special effects by CGI to transform the 46-year-old Foxx into a 20-year-old heavyweight champion on the big screens. Apparently this is the same technology that was used to transform Brad Pitt from an old man to a baby in the Oscar winning 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button'. Martin Scorsese will direct it.

Tyson said: ''Me and Jamie Foxx are in discussion, and we gonna do it.”

''Within a year to 18 months, we're going to do the Mike Tyson story and he's going to portray me, and now they have this new animation, because you know Jamie's pretty much my age so he can portray me but they have this new system.''

The controversial boxer confessed that once the film, which will narrate the story of his troubled life from becoming the youngest heavyweight champion in 20 to the present day - is done, he shall watch it alone.

Foxx, who clinched best actor Oscar in 2004 for his portrayal of jazz singer Ray Charles in 'Ray' – will be trained by Tyson for the role.
