Tom Hiddleston is all set to chronicle the life of country western singer Hank Williams. The actor will star in Marc Abraham's film 'I Saw the Light'.

The Hank Williams biopic will follow the singer's life – from his rise to fame and fame's tragic effects. According to reports, Hiddleston will do his own singing in the upcoming movie.

Screenplay for the film is based on Colin Escott’s biography. Marc Abraham will helm the movie, while Aaron L. Gilbert, Brett Ratner, G. Marq Roswell and Abraham will produce the project.

Shooting for the film will begin in October in Louisiana.

The filmmakers have secured the rights to Williams music catalogue and are likely to use hit numbers like “Hey Good Lookin,” “I’m So Lonesome I Could Cry” and “Your Cheatin’ Heart.”

Hiddleston' s upcoming movies include Guillermo del Toro's Crimson Peak. Then there is Ben Wheatley's High-Rise for which he will start shooting soon.
