The location of shooting Star Wars spinoff has been revealed, albeit by mistake. British Chancellor George Osborne let it out that J.J. Abram's "Star Wars: Episode VII" is set in London.

The British Chancellor had recently visited sets of the film and revealed through his tweets that the Gareth Edward's "Star Wars" spinoff will be shot in UK.

Shooting for "Star Wars: Episode VII" will begin in 2015 in UK, said Osborne after visiting the sets of the film at London's Pinewood Studios.

Osborne's Twitter post said: “On set of Episode VII tonight, can announce another #StarWars film will be made in UK. A #LongTermEconomicPlan in a galaxy far far away.”

Later the government minister clarified to the press that he was talking about another film at Pinewood, which will begin filming in 2015.

The script for the Star Wars spinoff is being penned by Gary Whitta. The filmmakers have plans to release the film on December 16, 2016. Gareth Edwards, of Godzilla fame, is directing the project.

After the announcement of the new Star Wars spinoff Edwards stated that ever since he had seen Star Wars he was sure about what he wanted to do in his life - that is join the Rebel Alliance.

The story of the movie has been much speculated about. The top theory suggests that characters like bounty hunter Boba Fett and Jedi master Yoda may get their own film. Han Solo origin story is another favourite of speculators. Besides rumors of a story on the Solo clan, or on adventures of Luke Skywalker are also doing the rounds.
