Harrison Ford is hurt and how!

The 71-year-old actor fractured his ankles and cracked his ribs on the set of “Star Wars: Episode VII” after the hydraulic door of a spaceship slammed on him. The actor was airlifted into the John Radcliffe hospital where he is being treated by the trauma unit.

For now, the tests are on, and the extent of his injuries will only be clear after the reports are out.

An insider from the unit reveals that the actor was hit by the door of the “Millenium Falcon” the spacecraft run by Ford in the flick.

It's uncertain how long the actor would take to bounce back to his feet. However, the makers of the show have no plans to stall the shoot yet.

Apparently, police reports claim that the actor was hit by a garage door and not a spaceship hatch. The Health and Safety Executive are investigating the incident. Ford could be entitled to claim money on the film’s insurance if the door is found to be at fault.

A representative for Ford was not available for comment.

It's been 40 years now since Ford starred in the first Star Wars film in 1977. In the new flick, he is reprising his role of Han Solo. The new movie is expected to hit the theaters on December 18, 2015.
