The tinsel town has new lovebirds - Richard Gere and Padma Lakshmi. It's hotly tipped that the Hollywood star and the Top Chef host are an item.
The 64-year-old actor, who is awaiting divorce from his wife of 11 years Carey Lowell, has been seen getting up, close and personal with the model-actress.
“They have been quietly spending some time together. It is all very new and recent, and happened while he has been filming in New York,” reveals a source.
In the past, Gere was married to supermodel Cindy Crawford. Lakshmi was previously married to author Salman Rushdie. They divorced in 2007. Post that, she dated billionaire Teddy Forstmann who died of brain cancer in 2011.
Gere has a son, Homer from his second marriage while Lakshmi is mother of three year old Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell. She is the daughter of Adam Dell, the venture capitalist brother of computer maker Michael Dell.
