Yes, you read that right! The 19-year-old 'Baby' hitmaker Justin Bieber is planning to hang up his microphone for good.

Announcing his retirement on national radio, the teen singing sensation said that he is planning to take a permanent break from the music and the industry.

The biggest brat in pop, Bieber has stirred in a spate of controversies in recent months including his break-up with Selena Gomez, partying with underage in nightclubs and strippers, spray-painting public property in Australia and more.

 

Revealing his plans to radio station Power 106 in L.A, Bieber said.: "After the new album (Journals that releases next week), I'm actually retiring man."

He then suggested he hasn't quite made up his mind, adding: "I want to grow as an artist and I'm taking a step out, I want my music to mature."

Seems the 'Never Say Never' singer is no longer attracted to the idea of fame.

However, adding a new twist to the tale. a source close to teen star insisted that there is very little truth in Bieber's intentions and that his retirement plans in just a joke.

The insider said: "The kid's got ambition."
