Oscar-winning music director AR Rehman after composing music for 12 movies including three Hollywood turned to as a script writer and also co-produces for the same upcoming untitled movie.   

"I am writing a script for movie and for which I will co produce, Rehman said to reporters at the press conference of Shankar upcoming film “I” features Vikram, Amy Jackson in lead role and Upen Patel which is slated to release on jan 9.  

Talking about the movie Rehman said "Shankar told me about this story 15 years back and since then he nurtured and worked on this story. I knew about this film so I did this film."

The hit maker Rehman who composed music for Shankar’s “I” said, I am happy to work with two stars of the Indian cinema Rajnikanth and Shankar in the same year. 2014 will be is an eventful year for me

According to the reports both, 'The Hundred-Foot Journey and Kochadaiiyaan may be in the list of Oscar awards for the best original score.

Rehman once again in the race of Academy award this year. His work for "Million Dollar Arm", "The Hundred-Foot Journey" and Indian film "Kochadaiiyaan" are among the list released by Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on its website recently.
