Analysis

Happy Bhag Jayegi Movie Review

The first half of Happy Bhag Jayegi has been decent with sensible entertainment throughout. The narration has been decent and interesting which makes the audience impressed. The performances by the lead actors is the major highlight and the way the film has been presented will sure make everyone happy. On the whole the first half of the film has been decent and interesting with colorful songs and humorous entertainment throughout.

The second half of the film turns predictable and dips down because of many sub-plots and stories. The romantic episodes look faked away however the presentation of the film still doesn’t make it fall flat. Some of the episodes seem completely forced and they do not make much impact. The pre-climax episodes seem so dragged and it is the performances which make the film lively and interesting. The climax has been decent and the second half of Happy Bhag Jayegi fails to live up the expectations because of the predictable screenplay and many unwanted episodes.

Performance

Abhay Deol who proved his acting skills several times impresses the audience to the core as a politician from Pakistan. His presence on screen has been stupendous and he did the role with utmost dedication. Diana Penty who made an impressive debut with Cocktail has not been seen in any film after that. Happy Bhag Jayegi is the film for Diana and she excelled in the assigned role completely. Her performance is the major highlight of the film and she is a treat to be watched on screen. Jimmy Shergil has been decent and sincere in his assignment Momal Sheikh has been completely apt and suitable in the role assigned to her. All the other characters helped the film move forward.

The story of the film Happy Bhag Jayegi has been interesting for sure. But it is the screenplay which happenned to be the misfire. The dialogues have been decent enough and the music has been good. The background score is the major highlight of the film and some of the episodes have been well elevated. The cinematography has been fresh and completely unique. The production values have been rich, grand and director made a different attempt with a different plot but it is the screenplay in which the film lagged completely.

Final Word

Abhay Deol and Diana Penty shines completely throughout the film and Happy Bhag Jayegi is sure not a disappointment.
