Analysis

Laal Rang Movie Review

The first half of Laal Rang has been written with utmost care and perfection throughout. The entire first half has been completely entertaining and interesting with enough twists. The songs of the movie have been well placed and the entire first half of Laal Rang has been realistic. On the whole the complete first half has been impressive.

The second half of Laal Rang dips down badly because of the poorly written screenplay. The movie has some moments to get entertained, but the second half mostly suffers lack of proper narration. The songs have been decent and it is the performances by the lead actors which make the film lively. The climax has been just normal and on the whole the second half of Laal Rang suffers the needed interesting narration.

Performance

Randeep Hooda comes out with one more outstanding performance in Laal Rang. He dominated the complete movie with his performance and presence. His character has been well written. Akshay Oberoi left everyone in surprise with his energetic performance in the movie. Pia Bajpai has been ambitious and entertaining throughout the film. Rajnesh Duggal has been decent with his assignment and all the other actors have been decent.

The story of Laal Rang has been quite interesting and it has never heard or seen before. The screenplay during the first half has been well written however the second half has not been taken enough care of. The dialouges have been decent. The music of the movie has been apt and the background score elevated the film. The cinematography has been catchy and the production values have been good enough. The director comes out with a realistic attempt which may not appeal to all the sections of audience.

Final Word

Randeep Hooda excels once again with his outstanding performance in Laal Rang which alone cannot save the film. The badly executed second half makes the film fall flat.
