There could be many reasons for the defeat of India in the Semi finals. But, the social media users are attributing the loss and Virat kohli’s poor performance to chubby actress Anushka Sharma. Following the reversal decision by the BCCI to allow WAGS (wives and girlfriends) accompanying the team India players, both the praises and criticism circulated in media.
Many have expected that team India would win the match against Australia on 26th of this month, but the boys have disappointed the cricket fans with poor bowling and punctured batting. The stress management therapy (spending time with WAGS) might have shown negative effect or the Australia players have done an excellent job to defeat India.
However, the celebrities from bollywood and sports have condemned the criticism on the NH10 star Anushka Sharma. Here have a look on their support to the star.
Priyanka Chopra ruled out the disrespect to the girlfriend of the player by tweeting, ”So horrible to c a supportive girlfriend being lynched for a game she just watched!!Stop with the disrespect! #StillBleedBlue @AnushkaSharma”
Susmita Sen extended her support to the fellow actress by tweeting, “So happy 2 C @AnushkaSharma b there 2 support her man n her country!!Those mocking her,pick another sport..IND's spirit n Cricket not 4 U :)”
Actor Arjun Kapoor, did not mentioned her name, but taken on the baseless allegations by tweeting, “arjun kapoor -- Let's give the Australian Team credit for playing well on the day instead of finding lame reasons,excuses & blaming individuals for our loss”
While, Dia Mirza tweeted, “It's ok to be disappointed or critical. BUT these comments about Anushka are DOWNRIGHT disgusting.”
The tennis star Sania Mirza took her twitter handle to slash on the comments on woman, she tweeted “Blaming and joking bout Anushka??cz a woman can ONLY be a distraction and not a strength? Wht bout d other times we won or Virat made a 100?”
While the former captain Sourab Ganguly said, “What wrong Anushka has done? She had only gone to see a cricket match like the families of other players. It is unfair to blame him for Kohli's performance. It is the immaturity of people (criticising Anushka)," during an interview.
It is really unfair to blame the actress over Virat’s stupid performance in the match, but the fans and cricket lovers should respect all women.
