King Khan not only believes in living life king-size, but also splurging like a king.

At the recently held Osian auction, SRK acquired two rare and vintage film memorabilia, almost worth a king's ransom. That's right! The actor bought two majestic original posters of K Asif's 'Mughal-e-Azam' for a whopping Rs. 6.84 lakh.

The sale, which was a part of the auction house's Greatest Indian Show on Earth series, sold 163 of the 220 for an estimated Rs. 55.60 lakh.

Artist Arpana Caur's 'Pyaar hua, Iqraar hua' painting, depicting Raj Kapoor and Nargis in that famous under the umbrella scene from 'Shree 420' fetched the highest price of Rs. 7.5 lakh.

An original hand-painted hard board standee of 'Yahudi' with Dilip Kumar and Meena Kumari in their famous embrace was the second most expensive handout of the auction that went under the hammer for Rs. 4.8 lakh.

The major attractions of the auction was the trio Raj Kapoor, Dilip Kumar and Dev Anand and leading heroines Madhubala, Nargis and Meena Kumari, who generated greatest interest and frenzied bidding.

The Rajesh Khanna lots of 'Anand' and 'Bawarchi' as well as posters of 'Junglee', one of the earliest designs by Studio Diwakar, sold for Rs. 72000.

Other stuff that received reasonable interest were N N Sippy family collection, and the calendar art angle of Indian cinema.
