It's official! Director Ayan Mukerji will be once again teaming up with his favorite star, Ranbir Kapoor, for his ambitious next.

That's right! Ayan has managed to woo in Ranbir to be a part of his next endeavor as well, like all his past flicks. And guess whom has he roped in for the female lead? Well, it's none other than our “Highway” girl Alia Bhatt who seems super-thrilled to be a part of the whole venture.

To be made under the banner of Dharma Productions, the Alia-Ranbir starrer is slated to hit the screens on December 23, 2016.

However, the more interesting piece of news is that Ranbir, who until has mostly done romantic roles, will play a cape crusader in this flick, making him the third actor after Hrithik Roshan and Shah Rukh Khan to play a superhero on the big screen.

The film won't just be a challenge for Ranbir but Ayan too who will charter an untreaded territory with this big-budget, action and special effect packed flick. With hits like 'Wake Up Sid' and 'Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani' under his belt, it remains to be seen if the talented duo of Ayan-Ranbir could dish out another money spinner together.
